Seattle is a picturesque city and there are so many great locations to get that perfect Christmas family photo. Here are a couple of ideas of locations that we like to help bring in the holiday memories.
Pike Place Market

Nothing says Seattle more than the Pike Place Market. The market always has a great installation of lights near the marquee Public Market Sign and clock. The best time would be a nighttime shot to take advantage of the Christmas lights. If your camera has a nighttime portrait mode, this would be even better (Go to the scene function and look for an icon with a person and moon/star).

Kerry Park

Another iconic location is Kerry Park at night. During the holidays the Space Needle has a Christmas Tree on top made out of lights and this would be another “Seattle” shot to share with your Christmas card list.

Japanese Garden at the Arboretum

We love the Seattle Japanese Garden no matter what time of year, but if we get a bit of snow, this would be a perfect location to get that Christmas photo.
The stone bridge is a perfect location to get a good group photo.

Snoqualmie Falls
We love Snoqualmie Falls and are out there almost every day for our tours. The lower falls would be the better spot for a group photo, but if you have limited time, the upper falls viewpoint would be just fine. December is always a nice time to get a photo here as the rocks around the falls may have frozen water that creates a nice winter feel as in the second photo below.

Westlake Center
This is ground zero for Christmas shopping in Seattle and with the Macy’s star as a backdrop, this could be a perfect location, especially at night.
